BOB GOPEE FOUNDATION AWARDS FOR S.E.A. STUDENTS
The annual S.E.A. Awards for nine (9) elementary schools of the Cedros Peninsula took place at the Chatham Community Centre on Saturday 29th, September, 2018. Representing the Ministry of Education was Ms. Judy Ann Burrowes, School Supervisor I of the St. Patrick Education District. Participating schools were Salazar Trace Gov’t, Cap-de-ville Gov’t, Chatham Gov’t, Southern Central AC, Granville RC, Cedros AC, Cedros Gov’t, Lochmaben RC and Icacos Gov’t.This function is sponsored by the Bob Gopee Foundation whose President, R. Bob Gopee (Consulting Partner of Bob Gopee and Associates), is a past pupil of Chatham Gov’t. Thirty-six (36) students received awards, with Alisha Khan of Cedros Gov’t placing in the first two hundred (200) in the country. Cedros Gov’t also won the challenge trophy for yet another year.
The feature address was given by Mrs. Marlene Davis, retired School Principal, English Language Consultant and Trainer, Author and Newspaper Columnist. Other speakers included Mr. Michael Bazie, Management Consultant, Mr. Davis John-Williams, T&T Football Association President, Ms. Judy Ann Burrowes and Mr. R. Bob Gopee.
